Our “lifestyle” approach to newborn sessions captures the adorable details of your new little one, plus the authentic emotions, love, and joy that they bring to your growing family—all in a comfortable, naturally lit environment.
Whether you choose to have your newborn lifestyle session in your home or in our all-white and furnished studio, your photos will include close ups of your baby’s features, relaxed poses in swaddles and baskets, and portraits of your baby with the family—including snuggling with dad, cheek to cheek with mom, or being lovingly adored by their bigger siblings.

Please feed and burp baby right before our session. This will ensure a happy and sleepy baby. We can take as many breaks as needed to refuel. Also, please have baby either in a simple onesie or zip up sleeper prior to the session. This will make a smooth transition for wardrobe changes.

Relax & Enjoy! We will take the baby's lead and feed, change, and cuddle as many times as needed. DO NOT STRESS!

Newborn photos are for the entire immediate family, so please bring everyone! I absolutely love capturing the mom, dad, and siblings with baby.
I always start with everyone first, then siblings, parents and baby alone last. That way everyone gets their photos done at the very beginning of the session, in case big brother or sister want to leave early. Otherwise, I do suggest bringing any activities (coloring, LEGO, iPad) and/or snacks for them to do while I photograph baby.

Baby can wear something from home or a swaddle wrap. I provide swaddle wraps for newborns for both genders, headband bows for girls, and various simple clothing.

I recommend keeping the wardrobe simple for newborn sessions. You don’t want clothing to overshadow your precious little one! Neutral colors are perfect for parents. Grey, white, cream, navy, and light blues photograph really nicely indoors. I have attached some of my favorite color palettes for reference below!
