Think about your photo session as if it’s a family date night! Don’t come thinking about taking photos… that’s our job. Instead, come ready to have fun and enjoy some time together as a family.

The best way to do that is by preparing your outfits and bringing a fun attitude.

First, for picking out clothes, we highly suggest using our online styling tool. You can access it through the link above and using code KD2022. Take advantage of it and coordinate your outfits early so you don’t have unnecessary stress about it close to your session date!

Second, be ready to have fun! This is a rare, brief moment where you can put your phones away, set aside busy schedules, and just love on the most important people in your life. Don’t worry about certain poses or what you think will look best (again, that’s our job!). Make it fun by staying loose and relaxed (yes, even beforehand when you’re getting ready!), because that joy will come through in your photos.

And if you have little kids, make an event out of it and plan to take them out for their favorite meal or treat afterwards. Personally, ours is usually In-n-Out!

All of our sessions are for immediate family, which includes parents and children. Extended family, such as grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.. is only allowed as an add-on for full outdoor sessions, which include full family, milestone, and maternity sessions. We cannot include extended family in any studio-based or mini sessions.

If you’d like to include extended family to your full outdoor session, an additional flat fee of $100 will be added to your final invoice. Please let us know if you’d like to include extended family as soon as possible before your session.

Although we do our best to keep all session times, they are sometimes rescheduled due to rain, fire/smoke, or illness. We keep an eye on the forecast and will always do our best to reach out as early as possible to give you a heads up if weather might affect your session.

If anyone in your session starts to feel ill prior to your booked date, please let us know as soon as possible.

Please allow up to 3 weeks for us to deliver your final photos. They will be sent to you via the email you used when booking. Your photos will be delivered in a private online gallery where you can easily browse, download, and share your images. You can also order prints directly through your gallery.

Prints can be ordered directly through your online gallery. We work with an amazing printer based in Santa Cruz, and this is your best option if you’re looking for the highest quality print. Of course, you can always download your photos and print through the service of your choice.
